Part Time/Per Diem- Dermatology Medical Assistant/Receptionist Walk-in Dermatology Nanuet, NY 10954 Walk-in Dermatology is a rapidly expanding healthcare company combining traditional dermatology with the convenience of urgent care. We are looking for experienced Medical Assistants to perform various office and clinical duties in our brand new office in Nanuet. Responsibilities:

Serve as a patient advocate during exam and treatment Direct patients to/from exam rooms to maintain timely flow of patients in the office Interview patients and record patient data into the electronic medical record system Conduct patient assessments and obtain medical information for referral to the provider or nurse Assist providers in obtaining consents prior to treatment or procedures Assist providers with documenting patient exams and procedures Assist providers with common dermatology procedures Prepare and stock exam rooms, ordering supplies as needed Assist in follow-up care for patients including obtaining patient records and making phone calls Assist in prescription fulfillment, including prior authorizations Assist at the front desk on an as needed basis

Required Education & Experience:

2+ years experience in a dermatology practice setting is required High school degree or GED required Certified as a Medical Assistant by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools Strong knowledge of medical terminology Hands-on experience with electronic medical records Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented If you have relevant experience and are interested in joining a fun and dynamic team, we’d like to hear from you.
