Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

Greet and escort patients to examination rooms. Take and record vital signs and medical histories. Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures. 2.

Clinical Duties:

Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens. Perform basic laboratory tests as directed by a provider. Change dressings and remove sutures as instructed/under the supervision of a provider. 3.

Administrative Tasks:

Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars. Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls and emails. Process billing and insurance claims as needed. 4.

Facility Management:

Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Follow infection control and safety guidelines. 5.

Communication:

Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. Provide patients with educational materials and answer basic health questions. Coordinate with laboratories and other healthcare facilities for tests and referrals.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification (e.g., CMA or RMA) is advantageous. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Working Conditions:

Primarily works in a clinical setting such as a doctor’s office or hospital. May involve long periods of standing and assisting patients. Requires adherence to health and safety regulations.

Reports To:

Supervising Physician, Office Manager, or Chief MA.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
