We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to work onsite in our East Islip Care Center at 170 West Main Street, East Islip, NY, 11730

Job Summary:

Our Medical Assistants are trained to work to the highest level of their certification and will be an integral part of the primary care patient team. You will work with the doctors on prepping visits to make sure patients receive all their preventive care and disease related testing (A1c for diabetics, lab work for kidney disease patients etc) You will help the doctors enter their quality measures into the reporting software, and will follow-up on gaps. Of course you will also perform traditional Medical Assistant functions of interviewing the patient for reason for the visit, recording patient concerns, verifying medications and needed refills, performing initial physical tests such as BP & Weight and blood draws, and making the patient feel like this is really their “medical home”.

Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant Strong customer service skills to make patients comfortable, cared for and listened to — you never forget a patient’s name or their story Strong technical skills (phlebotomy, EKGs, BP) Strong organizational skills and ability to help us all get through busy days and unexpected events with a smile on our face Strong desire to stay with our company and help the doctors grow their care center and become the #1 medical group for primary care Savvy tech skills to navigate EMR, Physician Portal, Telehealth, and Remote Patient Monitoring Strong back office skills, but ability to occasionally help work the front office duties as needed during high volume “crunch” times (eligibility, patient appointments, copays/deductibles etc) Please send resume!
