Medical Assistant to join our medical practice, which is in a suburban immigrant community. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office, experience with medical billing, and be proficient in both written and spoken Spanish and English. This role involves providing essential care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality service in a welcoming environment. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting the physician with various tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical practice. Skill and experience in performing phlebotomies for the laboratory are a must. Duties Assist the healthcare provider during patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Instruct patients on medication administration and proper inhalation techniques. Performing venipuncture to obtain bloods to send off to the labs we use. Translate Spanish to English in the office for the doctor and for patients. Perform Medical Billing to the insurance companies and keep accurate billing records for each patient, and for the office as a whole. Make appointments for the patients. Alert the doctor to problems of any nature. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and administrative processes is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, a pleasant personality, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. A commitment to providing exceptional patient service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. We can teach you anything, but not how to be a nice person.
