They are seeking a well-spoken, experienced Medical Assistant to support a Cardiologist within a busy office setting. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and understands the nuances of cardiology care. This is an onsite position based in Westchester County, NY.

Medical Assistant’s Responsibilities and Duties:

Room patients, take vitals, and accurately document medical history and medications. Support the Cardiologist and broader care team with clinical tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow. Anticipate and respond to the physician’s needs during patient visits, with a strong understanding of cardiology workflows. Assist with EKGs, medication authorizations, and other cardiac-related tasks. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including fielding questions and coordinating care follow-ups. Maintain up-to-date patient records in Epic (EMR) and ensure all documentation is completed per guidelines.

Medical Assistant’s Qualifications and Skills:

At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant; prior cardiology experience strongly preferred. Experience using Epic or similar EMR system a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a significant plus. CMA or RMA certification preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
