Medical Assistant Part Time Position Available In Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks aimed at providing excellent care to patients. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, handling patient communications, performing vitals and drug screenings, as well as supporting physicians with evaluations. Key Responsibilities Scheduling patient appointments. Answering incoming calls and checking voice messages regularly. Checking patients in and out, monitoring patient flow. Performing urine drug screens, taking vitals, assisting with patient evaluations. Calling in patient medication as directed by a physician. Inputting accurate patient information into electronic health records. Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies. Performing daily financial summaries and balancing of payments received. Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits. Reviewing the Prescription Monitoring Database. Providing education and resource information regarding medication. Qualifications High School Diploma required. Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification. Experience 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant or a similar role. Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred. Experience with injections preferred. Education High School Diploma required. Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred.
