Job Summary:
#IND Absolute Staffers LLC is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Allenwood in Allenwood, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for medical professionals seeking a stable schedule and the chance to serve a unique population in a federal facility setting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and committed to providing high-quality care Primary Responsibilities Utilize computer applications to include BEMR/SENTRY/Microsoft operating systems. Answer telephones and coordinating obtaining medical reports from outside providers.
Update both electronic and paper medical records daily
Take medical histories, explain treatment procedures to patients, prepare patients for examination.
Assist the healthcare providers during exams.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
Instruct patients about medication and special diets.
Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
Conduct electrocardiograms.
Remove sutures and change dressings
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
Certification as a medical assistant in the state of Pennsylvania.
Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA). Experience Requirements Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a medical assistant.
Experience in medical settings involving adult patients, preferably within correctional facilities, hospitals, or clinics
Work Schedule & Benefits Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Paid Time Off:
Up to 80 hours annually.
Sick Leave:
Up to 56 hours annually.
Holidays:
