Medical Assistant Position Available In Anderson, South Carolina

Medical Assistant 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 108 Montgomery Drive, Anderson, SC 29621 We are a busy, outpatient pain management clinic. We provide comprehensive care to patients which includes physical therapy, injections, medication management, etc. Our overall goal is to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of the patient’s pain condition.

Pay:

Potential for high MA salary based on experience and skills. Would determine at time of interview.

Role/Job Duties:

Provide patient care under the direction of Physician and/or Mid-level Providers Assist providers with procedures. Help position the patient, prepare the procedure tray. Collect patient assessment data to include height, weight, vital signs, medical history, current medications, etc. Document patient information in the medical record to include medication refills, test results, patient concerns, etc. Document Assessment and other notes given by providers into EMR. Collecting urine specimens, labeling all specimens with accurate patient ID as ordered by the physician. Complete referral authorizations for specialists and pre-authorization for testing and ancillary services. Complete prior authorizations for medications prescribed by providers Maintain work area, exam treatment and x-ray rooms in a clean, safe manner Restock supplies and sterilize reusable equipment as needed Effective communication skills Computer skills to utilize electronic medical system (EMR) to perform job duties required

Experience:

One year experience in physician office preferred

Education:

Certification for Medical Assistant is preferred ( through a recognized national professional association such as, the American Association of Medical Assistants or the American Medical Technologists)

Experience:

EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
