Certified Medical Assistant Position Available In Beaufort, South Carolina

Certified Medical Assistant Coastal Neurology 1833 North Paris Avenue, Port Royal, SC 29935 Medical Assistant & phlebotomy certification required. Job duties involve preparing medical records for visit. Verify presence of medical records, & diagnostic testing(labs, images) prior to scheduled appointments, requesting existing records and x-rays as neccesary. The medical assistant may also be required to perform, EKGs, Blood draws, vitals signs & enter information into the electronic medical records. The medical assistant must be able to manage patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit and post-visit duties. The medical assistant must inform the providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow and reports test results as directed by the providers. They may also provide basic telephone screening per clinic protocols, recognize emergent/urgent problems and direct to the nurse or physician.
