Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support both clinical and administrative functions to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering excellent service in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments Administer vaccinations and injections as directed Schedule patients for diagnostic tests Collect and process laboratory specimens; perform basic lab tests as required Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) Perform administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient intake, and communication management Initiate and manage prior authorizations for imaging studies and other services as required by insurers Support billing and coding processes in coordination with office staff Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, protocols, and privacy standards

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role Proficiency in taking vital signs and administering vaccines Experience with medical coding, billing, and insurance verification is a plus Familiarity with obtaining prior authorizations for diagnostic imaging (e.g., MRI, CT, ultrasound) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Demonstrates the ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team-based environment
