Pleasant Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-19 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description Provide quality venipuncture or capillary service for patients of all ages with lab orders by a physician, while practicing universal precautions. Perform venipuncture with a timely and cost effective approach as deemed appropriate by this organization. Responsible for accurate data entry of patient demographic information and assays ordered into all computer applications. Provide and maintain lab documents to include faxed results as specified by the organization and regulatory agencies. Responsible for proper processing and handling of specimens in accordance to the specific guidelines of MUSCP/MUSCP-PC or other reference laboratories. Additional Job Description Minimum Training and Education:
High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience:

0-6months. State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

Certificate of Phlebotomy preferred. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Physical Requirements:

Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+
