MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERT 3.3 3.3
out of 5 stars 266 Joule Street, Alcoa, TN 37701 JOB SUMMARY Provides care to patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics under the direct supervision of a physician. Must be task oriented in an arena that can be fast paced. May work in primary care, urgent care or specialty area.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience: Completion of medical assistant program with current state certification as MA. Previous working experience in medical office preferred but not required.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and basic pharmacology. Knowledge of specific assistant tasks related to area.
Skills:
Performing tasks appropriately to include vital signs, medical history, review of medications and allergies, injection administration and point of care testing. Phlebotomy skills preferred.
Abilities:
Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy setting. Able to project a pleasant and compassionate image. Works as a team to make sure the patient/family receive the best care possible.
