REQUIREMENTS

: Must have minimum 1 yrs experience as a Medical Assistant employed in a physician office. Demonstrated ability to check vitals, blood pressure, administer injections, room patients, check medications, prior authorization for medication’s. Other duties include but are not limited to: Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse Performs select clinical duties. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients’ charts Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment Applies patient care standards and/or nursing practice standards to patient care Plans and delivers care according to age specific criteria /Revises and demonstrates plan of care to meet changing needs of the patient Demonstrates knowledge of infection control policies. Practices proper infection control measures Communicates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate interventions and assure continuity of care. Obtain prior authorization(s) if needed by provider or insurance provided Must be computer literate… and should have experience with electronic medical records, eClinical is a plus. Must possess excellent customer service skills, must be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritize tasks. Previous experience working in Physician Medicine or Interventional Pain Management is a plus. Our practice have 3 locations. This Medical Assistant will then be working at our Hermitage Office.
