The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our clinic, providing excellent patient service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This position requires familiarity with medical terminology and experience in a clinical setting, comfortable with behavioral health and addiction and use of Athenahealth EHR Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment. Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the clinic’s calendar effectively. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history. Assist with the administration of vital signs as needed. Maintain accurate records in electronic health systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient needs and concerns. Handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally, directing them to the appropriate staff as necessary. Support the administration of medication and assist in geriatrics care when required. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a clinic or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with X-ray procedures and internal medicine practices is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using electronic health record systems for patient management. Strong interpersonal skills to provide outstanding patient service. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
