The Patient Technician is responsible for providing basic administrative and patient care duties to support clinical operations in an infusion suite setting.

Job Description:

​ Job Responsibilities Assist with the pre-infusion process by verifying orders, collecting patient information, and ensuring the patient is comfortable. Provide basic patient care duties such as taking patient vitals, IV insertion, patient positioning, and collecting patient information. Responsible for accurate and timely patient charting. Ensure a clean and safe environment by removing trash, staging the room/station, and sanitizing/cleaning surfaces and equipment. Assist nursing staff at the nursing station. Assist with ensuring appropriate levels of inventory & supplies are maintained by validating incoming supplies & shipments, stocking shelves, reviewing expiration dates of time sensitive products. Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements MA, EMT, IV/Phlebotomy or equal experience in a medical setting Medical Assistant Certification Required Basic Qualifications Great verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task with a precise level of detail. Ability to read and understand medical terminology. Excellent customer/patient service skills. Physical Demand Requirements Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, moving, or positioning of patients, equipment, or objects (up to 50lbs). Frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing. Ability to sit for extended periods of times, and ability to remain on your feet for extended periods of time. Ability to determine colors. Ability to handle sharp objects safely
