This includes patient care, surgical assisting, phlebotomy, and administrative functions. Renders exceptional care to all patients and organizes the flow of patients seen by the provider. Documents in the electronic chart all complaints/problems expressed by the patient at visits Ensures that all supplies/instruments/equipment needed are sterilized and clean, in proper working order, and are available to the provider assists the Provider in surgery and procedures Cleans and stocks exam rooms Obtains patient consents for procedures & surgeries Takes incoming calls from patients and answers questions within their scope of training and knowledge. Schedules referrals at the request of the provider Communicates with pharmacies regarding prescriptions or prior authorization issues Notifies patients of pathology or laboratory results Qualifications Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; experience in dermatology or related fields such as geriatrics, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dermatology. Ability to take vital signs and perform basic clinical assessments. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education. Proficiency in coding practices for insurance billing is desirable. A team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
