Certified Medical Assistant Position Available In Knox, Tennessee

Medical Assistant Knoxville TN/ Day shift Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm /Certification Mandatory As a Medical Assistant, you will assist the provider throughout the clinic with a variety of duties, primarily serving patients over the phone with RX verification and appointment follow-up. You will also prepare and maintain patient charts, schedule and coordinate appointments, and perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and medical histories. Responsibilities Primarily serving patients over the phone with RX verification & appointment follow up – Occasional scheduling Prepare and maintain patient charts to includeinsurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports,track and request patient records, slides and films; document as necessary in the charts Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans and tests; confirm appointments; notify appropriate departments, in writing, of daily and weekly patient schedules Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians and others with patient related matters; relay diagnostic testresults to patients per physician’s discretion; conduct follow-up phone calls to patients with problems and “no-shows” Perform BP, TPR and weight on each patient;responsible for alerting physician of abnormalities Qualification MA license BLS certification Experience with triage, medical records, and telehealth Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and medical histories

Pay:
