Medical Assistant RemX Specialty Staffing Knoxville, TN 37934 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various clinical tasks, patient interactions, and administrative duties within our facility. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform basic life support and monitor vital signs. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation. Maintain accurate patient records and manage coding for billing purposes. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring comfort during visits. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care in a Level I Trauma Center environment. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and geriatrics when interacting with patients. Assist in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with basic life support techniques and medication administration protocols. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding practices is essential. Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service and support to the medical team.
