Plastic Surgery Practice Job Duties:
- Provides clinical / nursing care to patients. Obtains certain medical information, history, physical, family and social history. Takes vital signs and weight.
- Assists Physician/Nurse Practitioner with examinations, treatments, cosmetic services, and in office procedures.
- Provides patient education materials, communicates physician advice and instructions for pre
- and post-op teaching.
- Removal of sutures and drains
- Maintains patient records and charts.
- Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and assures that rooms are clean.
- Screens patient phone calls and relays messages to physician/nurse practitioner.
- Chart prep
- Sorts and files faxes
- Schedules referrals from outside providers
- Start pre-certification process and schedules surgery and post op appointments.
- Assists with answering phones
- Assists with keeping up of inventory
- Assists with social media posts as needed
- Assists in taking photographs and filing in patient chart as needed
- Assists with compiling before and after photos as needed
- Schedules follow up appointments
- Prepares quotes for patients as needed
- Other related duties assigned by the office manager, and/ or physicians.
Requirements:
- One year medical office experience very strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Team player
Helpful :
- Greenway/ Intergy software and electronic medical charts experience
