Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) CovenantCare Practices Clarksville, TN 37043 Medical Assistants (MAs) play a vital role in Covenant Care’s healthcare team and in the care for our patients. As part of a skilled medical team at out location in Clarksville, Tennessee, you will help us provide compassionate and quality primary care.

Certification is required within 90 days of hire. Medical Assistant Tasks Perform nursing procedures under supervision of a provider Assist providers in exam rooms Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs including: weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature; and document all information in patient’s chart Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or midlevel Ensure all related reports, labs,and information arefiled andavailable in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment Keep examand procedurerooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants Retrieve prior authorizations from insurance companies for medications, outpatient procedures, and referrals to specialists Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) Medical AssistantKnowledge Completion ofmedical assisting program Medical terminology Grammar, spelling, and punctuation Medical assistant certification (within 90 days of hire) Medical Assistant Skillsand Physical Requirements Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Ability to lift or support up to 50lbswith or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow(typing speedof40wpm) Abilitytoadminister injections(steady hands necessary) Must be up-to-date, or willing to become up-to-date, on vaccinations Willingness to be exposed tocontagious illnesses Other physical tasksmayinclude walking and standing long hours without rest, stooping, kneeling,crouching, bending, pushing, and pullingwith or without a reasonable accommodation Work Remotely No This Job Is Ideal for
