We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Interventional Pain Management Practice. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in various medical procedures in settings such as Level I Trauma Centers, Clinics, Level II Trauma Centers, Operating Rooms (OR), Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology, etc.
- Perform patient intake procedures including measuring vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and processing billing information.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
