Baptist Urgent Care is looking for dedicated, compassionate, andexperienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare teamin Collierville, TN.

Baptist Urgent Care’sconvenient, walk-in centers provide a range of healthcare servicesincluding treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupationalhealth and wellness care. The centers are open seven days a week:

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, all Baptist UrgentCare centers are Accredited Care Centers

JOB SUMMARY

The MedicalAssistant will be responsible for greeting patients, activatingpatient files and providing support to patients and medical staff.

Our full-time team members work 36-40 hours each week, includingevery-other-weekend.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties andresponsibilities generally reflect the expectations of thisposition but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties maybe assigned.

  • Promptly greets patients when entering waitingarea, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
  • Consistentlycommunicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to thenext step in the treatment process
  • Provides solutions topatient problems and recognizes and seeks help inemergent/hazardous situations
  • Executes follow-up calls with asense of urgency
  • Assist front desk personnel with patient checkin/out procedures when necessary
  • Obtains and accuratelydocuments patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, pastmedical, family and social history current medications, allergiesand other pertinent historical information as appropriate
  • Assists with patient transfers
  • Assists with procedures directlysupervised by the provider
  • Follows documentation procedures andcompletes required documentation related to patient visit.
WHAT’SREQUIRED?
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • MedicalAssistant Certificate or equivalent experience
  • BLSCertification required
