Job Description

Patient Care Medical Assistant Leavitt Family Medicine Hendersonville, TN 37075 Leavitt Family Medicine is currently seeking a Medical Assistant who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive the highest quality and compassionate health care. Your tasks in this role are to: Prepare patients for exam and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs, performing medication reconciliation and updating information Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy Assist physicians and health care providers in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals Schedule appointments, tests and treatments as needed for patients Process telephone calls, referrals, prior authorizations and pre-certifications Qualifications One year of Medical Assisting or other applicable clinical work experience is preferred Medical Assistant Certification or Registration – required OR Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment OR Candidates/incumbents with one year of Medical Assistant work experience If you are interested in joining our clinic team, we encourage you to apply today.
