Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA or RMA) 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 1315 Hospital Drive, Saint Johnsbury, VT 05819 The Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) Corner Medical practice seeks a highly motivated and outgoing Certified Medical Assistant to support the practice. Corner Medical has nine providers who see a total of 50 to 100 patients per day, providing comprehensive primary and preventive care for patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and excellent communication and organizational skills. The practice is seeking an individual who can build rapport with patients, is a self-motivated team player, can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and is flexible. If you are friendly, adaptable, and can work effectively under the supervision of providers, you will excel in this role, performing both clinical and administrative duties to contribute to the safe and quality care of patients. This position will involve a mix of administrative and clinical responsibilities (Mon/Tues Administrative and Wed/Thurs/Fri Clinical). Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care support, including vital signs, health history intake, medication reviews, and assist with procedures, ultrasounds, and Point of Care testing as delegated by providers (MD, DO, PA, or NP). Manage patient flow and administrative duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, telephone screening, and maintaining accurate Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Maintain clinical operations through equipment setup and cleaning, specimen collection and laboratory coordination, and ensuring strict HIPAA confidentiality compliance Required Qualifications High School Graduate with an active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting with demonstrated computer proficiency and medical terminology knowledge Strong communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities under stress, and physical capability to lift patients and handle medical equipment About NVRH Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in the Northeast Kingdom.
