Certified Billing and Coding Technician Vascular Centers of Orlando Orlando, FL 32807 Busy medical office seeking energetic and knowledgeable Billing and Coding Specialist for our team. The ideal candidate must be driven to provide excellent customer service and have the ability to learn processes with a positive attitude. A detailed understanding of healthcare terms is required. The candidate must be able to work with staff in several locations around Central Florida. Other job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for analyzing, reviewing and reconciling daily site batches for encounters and payments Responsible for analyzing pre-bill worksheets for correct coding, correcting errors before daily submission of charges Request missing batch information from sites Validate and file claims electronically Responsible for knowing and following assigned plans’ guidelines for filing and appealing claims Assisting with denied claims and zero pay claims Maintain physician credentials, update as needed Arrange for all physicians to be contracted with each insurance carrier agreement / contract Requirements Minimum one year experience in a medical billing office setting with excellent knowledge of
CPT, ICD-10CM
coding anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and disease processes Either hold current certification as a CPC or have equivalent experience and be actively pursuing certification Maintain current knowledge of coding changes and maintain CEU requirements, if applicable Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday Ability to work with detailed information, including clinical information, is essential Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and related computer experience is required Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
