ASC Biller and Coder Position Available In Osceola, Florida

ASC Biller and Coder Osceola Heart and Ambulatory Surgical Center, LLC 905 North John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34741 We are seeking an experienced ASC Biller and Coder to join our team at a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, billing, and revenue cycle management, with specific experience in coding from operative notes.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses from operative notes for various specialties in compliance with established coding guidelines.
• Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, preferably SIS, to input and manage patient data and coding information.
• Process claims through Waystar and manage submissions to insurance payers using Availity.
• Conduct insurance verifications to ensure patient eligibility and coverage before procedures.
• Work diligently to resolve claim denials and rejections in a timely manner, ensuring that all necessary follow-up actions are taken to maximize revenue.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) to ensure timely payments and minimize outstanding balances.
• Negotiate insurance contracts to secure favorable terms and improve reimbursement rates.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation and coding queries as needed.
• Stay current with coding regulations, payer requirements, and industry best practices.

• Qualifications:

• Proficient in coding using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with EHR systems, specifically SIS, is highly preferred.
• Experience with Waystar and Availity platforms for claims processing and management.
• Strong skills in insurance verification and understanding of various payer guidelines.
• Proven ability to manage denials effectively and work towards resolution.
• Experience in the negotiation of insurance contracts to optimize reimbursement.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is preferred.
