Seeking a Medical Coder for Cardiology Practice! Confidential – to be discussed during interview McDonough, GA 30253 Large Cardiology Practice Seeking an Experienced Medical Coder! •This role is not remote or hybrid, but on site•Our practice is seeking a Medical Coder who will be responsible for reviewing a patient’s medical records after a visit and translating the information into codes that insurers use to process claims from patients. Their duties include confirming treatments with medical staff, identifying missing information and submitting forms to insurers for reimbursement. This role requires prior experience coding in a Cardiology practice!!

Responsibilities:

Receiving and reviewing patients’ charts and documents for verification and accuracy Assigning Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and International Classification of Diseases Tenth Revision Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM). Identify diagnostic and procedural information Make sure that codes are sequenced according to government and insurance regulations Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement Analyze medical records and identify documentation deficiencies Serve as resource and subject matter expert to other coding staff Review and verify documentation for diagnoses, procedures and treatment results

Qualifications:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is highly preferred Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payers is required , Gastroenterology and/or other complex specialties are highly preferred Proficiency in computer skills including typing speed and accuracy Mathematics and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strict attention to details Competitive compensation!
