Located in Birmingham, AL, we are seeking a Chief MedicalOfficer for a
- 450 bed facility. This facility is Joint Commissionaccredited and provides a wide array of healthcare services,including:
- Level III Trauma Center
- Certified Comprehensive stroke center
- Comprehensive Cardiac and Stroke program
- Accredited bariatric surgery center
- Comprehensive Imaging Services for inpatient and outpatientservices
- Accredited Robotic Surgery The goal of the Chief Medical Officer role is to set the vision andagenda for improvement in clinical outcomes, as well as resourceutilization, patient-centered care coordination, and patientexperience so as to optimize the quality of care through rigorousoutcomes measurement, data analytics, and performance improvementprocesses.
The Chief Medical Officer will manage the creation,updating, and implementation of quality and safety standards andprocesses for the hospital to ensure consistency and continuitywith the goal of reducing inappropriate variation. The ChiefMedical Officer will be a member of the hospital’s executive teamand report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements:
- Board Certification or has been Board Certified
- Minimum of 10 years of post-training practice experience
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O.degree
- Has or can obtain an Alabama Medical licensure
- Preferred, degree in a master’s level program (MBA, MPH, MMM,etc.
