- Medical Director of the Sickle Cell Medical Home program-BE/BC internal medicine or family medicine physician
- Experiencecaring for patients with Sickle Cell Disease, including painmanagement
- Provide primary care services for patients includingchronic disease management, cancer screening, and acute illnesstreatment
- Supervise an APRN who also provides primary careservices
- Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical management forsickle cell patients who have need for chronic and acute painmanagement
- Supervise the Sickle Cell Day Hospital
- Assist indeveloping the Sickle Cell Medical Home Program includingcollaboration with others in the Hematology Department, EmergencyRooms, and with hospitalists
- Before pain becomes a problem,patients can call the Sickle Cell Day Hospital Monday
- Friday formedical help. Patients can make an appointment at the Sickle CellDay Hospital for treatment or make arrangements to go to anemergency department
