Lee Health is seeking a Medical Director for Pulmonary/CriticalCareThis position is comprised of 60% administrative and 40 %clinical responsibilities.

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Director of thePulmonary/Critical Care Service Line is responsible for ensuringhigh levels of clinical outcomes, customer service, andproductivity in a dyad model with the System Director ofOperations.

The Medical Director:

(i) provides medical oversightand direction, leadership and accountability for the medical careprovided within the assigned areas of responsibility; (ii) providesmentorship and leadership to physicians and advanced providers(APs) to improve the quality of care and service rendered to LeeHealth patients; (iii) meets the behavioral expectations outlinedin the Lee Health Medical Staff Physician Compact; (iv) implementsquality, strategic, and operational initiatives; and (v) isresponsible for physicians and APs within the Pulmonary/CriticalCare Division, and Sleep Medicine. The Medical Director is expectedto build strong relationships with the Lee Health medical staffsand be a resource to others on the leadership team of Lee PhysicianGroup (LPG). This position is a hybrid medical director in a 60%administrative/ 40% clinical practice role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:

Candidate must have an M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) or D.O.(Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree from an accredited medicalschool and residency program (or its equivalent).

Experience:

Oneto two years of physician leadership experience preferred.

State ofFlorida Licensure:

Candidate must have and maintain anunrestricted, active license to practice medicine or osteopathicmedicine, as applicable, in the State of Florida. Certifications.

Candidate must be board certified in pulmonary and critical care.

Other:

Candidate must: (i) be eligible as a provider for Medicare,Medicaid and other federal and Florida healthcare programs; and(iii) have excellent interpersonal skills and highly effectivecommunication skills.
