The Role Global Veterinary Careers is working with a forward-thinking hospital in Fort Myers that is looking to expand its team with a full-time Medical Director to lead the hospital team. This new exciting role will suit either existing Medical Directors or those that are looking to take the next step in their career. The hospital is proud to offer:

Full-Time:

• Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital
• Financial responsibility for the monthly P&L
• Supervising all staff including relief veterinarians
• Full support provided from the non-clinical management team
• Surgery including spays/neuters etc.~
• Wellness and preventative care
• Diagnostics
• Internal medicine
• And more To be considered for this position, you must have the following:
• DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited university
• NAVLE
• ECFVG or PAVE if attended non-AVMA accredited university
• DEA, State, and USDA licenses (can be acquired when hired)
• Proficient general medicine, dental, and surgical experience
• Good characteristics including strong leadership skills, compassion, excellent communication, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
