Position Purpose:
•Provides timely, accurate, actionable data and analysis supporting Regional WellCare companies. Initiates, leads and manages direct reports and regional financial analysis to meet the key initiatives of the company. Develops initiatives to increase profitability and decrease medical expenses. Proactively initiates and develops analytics for strategic and operating decisions and provide recommendations to senior management on both tactical and strategic nature. Participates as a key strategic member of Senior Management. Develops and maintains relationships, and act as primary point of contact with appropriate external financial institutions.
Candidate Education:
Required A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. + Oversees and conducts monthly/weekly Cost of Care meetings to identify opportunities to reduce cost and utilization, to include review and dissemination of reports with summary overviews to highlight issues facing the organization. + Initiates and oversees Health Analytics projects and initiatives, directs all necessary follow-ups and communicate results and recommendations to senior corporate and regional management. + Prioritizes analytic work effort to ensure maximum efficiencies in the utilization of human and financial resources. + Develops and manages new reporting tools based on the needs of Local Plan Management, and all relevant corporate departments. + Plans, conducts and directs work on complex projects/programs necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches. + Develops the workflow of and oversees direct reports by prioritizing projects and establishing expectations with the department’s internal and external customers. + Proactively evaluates the government reimbursement process to determine areas of risk and opportunity and provide senior management with necessary updates and/or strategic recommendations. + Actively participates in the development of WellCare Enterprise Data Warehouse. + Advises management in long-range planning for areas of specialization. + Provides technical direction to functional managers, other directors and management. + Recommends changes in area(s) policy and procedure. + Performs additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
•Required Other an additional 2 years of Financial Management experience may be substituted in lieu of the Bachelors degree
Candidate Experience:
•Required 7+ years of experience in Financial Management. Required 3+ years of management experience. •Required 3+ years of experience in relevant healthcare

Pay Range:
