Job Description
Summary The Medical Director is a qualified physician appointed to provide direction, professional support, guidance, medical technical assistance to the patients and staff of the medical center. Duties and Responsibilities Work with staff to assure that the medical needs of the patients are met. Assure that the patient meets the medical admission criteria. Act as liaison with other physicians. Participate in the Quality Assurance of the medical documentation. Participate in the utilization review of the billing process. Will assume supervision of other physicians. Revise EOB’s and inform billing department of any billing errors. Participate in the preparation of super bills and sign each individual super bill. Perform physician duties such as : Perform annual evaluations on patients and ensure preventative procedures take place. Diagnose and treat illnesses or injuries. Prescribe medications; and orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Implement a plan of treatment, including diagnostic studies results. Determine final diagnosis. Keep medical record documentation according to the State and Federal regulations and their guidelines. Perform duties in honest and ethical manner. Ensure that all
HIPAA/OSHA
standards are in compliance. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. At least (5) years of experience as a licensed physician.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices. Ability to work with individuals within and outside the organization, in professional and courteous manner. Must develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others. Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Strong ability to use independent judgment and initiative. Organized and able to manage competing priorities. Resourcefulness in problem solving. Actively look for ways to help people. Strong written and verbal communications skills Knowledge of medical terminology Must be extremely detail oriented. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of EHR. Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish or English/Creole). Must develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
