Responsibilities Include:
  • Strategic & Executive Leadership
  • + Serve as a member of executive leadership, identifying and expanding new psychiatric service lines.

+ Lead and participate in company-wide initiatives focused on clinical services, research, outreach, and education. + Advise executive leadership on emerging psychiatric trends and innovations in the field of eating disorders. + Develop strategic partnerships with psychiatric and medical leaders to foster collaboration, referral development, and clinical research.

  • Clinical & Medical Leadership
  • + Lead the company’s psychiatric approach to adolescent care and support the development of strategic psychiatric innovations across all levels of care.

+ Provide direct psychiatric care including evaluations, medication management, urgent consultations, and telehealth as needed. + Collaborate with the CMO, VP of Medical Services, and VP of Adolescent Medicine on physician and NP training, supervision, and support. + Supervise Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (especially in Oregon) and conduct regular performance evaluations. + Review complex cases in partnership with the Admissions Department and local staff to support safe and effective client admissions.

  • Education & Research
  • + Utilize research outcomes in partnership with the CMO to support programming innovation and marketing initiatives.

+ Develop educational content for patients, families, referral partners, internal staff, and insurance providers. + Present original content at national and local conferences, webinars, and professional events. + Contribute to the development of educational courses and provider training resources, including the MN Provider Handbook.

  • Quality Improvement & Compliance
  • + Engage in quality improvement initiatives and regularly review psychiatric and medical policies in collaboration with Compliance, the CMO, and VP of Nursing. + Support the organization in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission and state licensing standards. + Participate in leadership roles within professional psychiatric and eating disorder organizations.
  • Operations & Administrative Leadership
  • + Supervise psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.

+ Provide direct psychiatric care virtually during supervisees’ PTO and as needed. + Provide consultative support to MN program staff, Admissions, and external providers regarding complex psychiatric concerns. + Collaborate with IT and Compliance to identify and correct issues with EHR documentation and e-prescribe, as needed. + Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and other administrative functions as requested.

Qualifications:

+ MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry (required) and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (strongly preferred). + Active medical license in one or more states with the ability to obtain additional licensure (multi-state licensure preferred). + Minimum of 5 years’ experience treating eating disorders in children, adolescents, and/or adults or CEDS certification required. + Demonstrated leadership experience in psychiatric program development and clinical supervision. + Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in eating disorder treatment and integrated behavioral healthcare. + Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic planning skills. + Ability to thrive in a remote work environment with occasional travel as needed (1-2x/month). #montenido #LI-REMOTE
