Job Description
Chief Medical Officer –
Fall River, MA Job Type:
Full-Time Shifts:
Days (Monday-Friday); Occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Healthcare Setting:
Outpatient Community Health Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership for physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare teams
- Guide initiatives around quality, safety, patient engagement, and population health
- Direct patient care, including consultations, exams, procedures, and prescribing treatments
- Lead development and integration of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support advancement as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH)
- Perform medical oversight, including referrals, continuity of care, and wellness visits
- Represent the clinical vision of the organization in alignment with strategic goals
- Participate in partnerships with external entities and clinical affiliations
Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree with current licensure to practice in Massachusetts
- Board Certification in Family Medicine (preferred)
- Valid DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Previous work in public health or community health (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as required
