Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:

up to $250,000 annually, depending on experience Productivity bonus available Partnership pathway offered Flexible 4-5 day workweek No call, no weekend coverage Telemedicine integration for additional flexibility Support for Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification through PALTmed; CME costs covered Opportunities for professional development and continuing medical education Leadership role in an organization committed to innovation and excellence in geriatric care Key Responsibilities Provide medical oversight and direction across several facilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and administrative leadership. Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Conduct bedside visits for acute and regulatory needs. Support facility-specific clinical programs, including dementia care, chronic disease management, wound care, and proactive care initiatives. Mentor and supervise APPs to ensure exceptional care delivery. Participate in facility meetings, including Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs.

Key Qualifications Medical License:

Active Maine license (or eligibility). Background in family medicine, internal medicine or geriatrics, preferred. Experience in post-acute or long-term care is a plus.

Leadership Potential:

Prior medical director experience or strong interest in healthcare leadership.

Board Certification:

Preferred in family medicine or internal medicine. Extra fellowship or certification in Geriatrics is a plus.

Collaboration and Independence:

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Technology Proficiency:

Proficient in EHR systems and telemedicine tools.
