Emergency Department APPs:
- The medical center is home to the busiest Emergency Department in North Carolina and ranks among the top 10 busiest in the nation, treating 130,000 adult and 35,000 pediatric cases annually.
We are currently seeking experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to work in our 96-bed adult Emergency Department, serving a high-acuity patient population with a 28% admission rate. As an APP in our Emergency Department, you will be part of a collaborative and well-supported team, working alongside emergency medicine physicians and other skilled professionals. Our ED provides over 110 hours of daily APP coverage and features:
- Level III Trauma Center with a robust hospitalist service
- 24/7 interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and more
- Chest Pain and Stroke Center accreditation
- Hospital-owned and managed EMS system with an award-winning paramedic program Additionally, our separate 17-bed Pediatric ED is staffed with dedicated physician and APP coverage, ensuring specialized care for our youngest patients.
