Corning Health Services is seeking a motivated and dynamic USRegional Medical Director to join our expanding global team. Inthis role, you will support the Chief Medical Officer in deliveringand advancing a comprehensive health strategy throughout our 68 USbased manufacturing and administrative sites as well as serving asa key member of our global Health Services Leadership Team caringfor over 52,000 employees in more than 30 countries worldwide. Inthis dynamic and high profile leadership role, the incumbent willdemonstrate a rare combination of clinical acumen and provenbusiness expertise. You will leverage your deep clinical knowledgeto guide strategic decision-making, while also driving operationalexcellence in a multi-faceted healthcare environment. Your deepunderstanding and core foundation in occupational medicine will beessential in supporting our 173 year history of unparalleledexpertise in glass science, ceramics science, and optical physicsto develop our life-changing innovations and products.
Responsibilities:
Participate in policy and program development,strategic planning, and implementation of standards of practice forall U.S. domestic sites Working alongside the Health ServicesLeadership Team, provide clinical leadership (oversight, education,and assessment) for U.S. onsite clinics and medical staff,including 19 full-time, contingent, and regional site nurses Workcollaboratively with executives and plant leaders to develop andimplement strategic plans that elevate the quality and efficiencyof care delivery Develop and deliver evidence-based health andwellness programs that foster a culture of continuous improvementand health such as annual physicals, screening programs, annualseasonal flu clinics and collaboration with 3rd party providersAssist in the identification of emerging workplace health risks inthe employee population and identify opportunities for mitigationOversee the management of work-related injuries and illnesses,including prompt evaluation, treatment, and appropriate follow-upcare to facilitate employees recovery and safe return to workConsult, direct, and perform medical evaluations, includingpre-employment screenings, periodic health assessments, andfitness-for-duty examinations, ensuring compliance with regulatorystandards Offer expert medical opinions and guidance to managementand HR teams regarding workplace health issues, disabilitymanagement, and accommodations for employees with medicalconditions Actively engage with regulatory agencies and guidance toinclude federal, state, and local regulations related to workplacehealth and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelinesProvide Electronic Medical Record vendor oversight, develop, andmaintain system to capture utilization and outcomes for reportingConduct health and safety training programs for employees,promoting awareness and understanding of occupational healthpractices, injury prevention, and overall well-being Develop andimplement clinical policies and procedures that align with theorganizations vision and objectives. Review department standingoperating procedures, update and share changes with staff Act as aliaison between medical staff and other departments, includingfinance, human resources, and legal Remain current with the latesttrends and innovations in healthcare, and foster a culture ofongoing learning and development among the medical staff Provideleadership and support for medical staff recruitment, retention,professional development, and performance management
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accreditedinstitution Valid medical license in the state of practice withability to obtain licensure in NC and NY within 1 year Boardcertification in Occupational Medicine (preferred). Boardcertification in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, or InternalMedicine may be considered with extensive experience within complexmanufacturing settings Additional preference for graduate degreesin public health, business, or medical informatics Minimum of 7years of clinical experience preferably in a manufacturing,industrial, or military settings, including at least 3 years in aleadership role Knowledge of relevant federal and stateregulations, including OSHA and ADA Proven leader with stronghistory of managing geographically dispersed teams Strongunderstanding of workplace health and safety practices Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with demonstratedproficiency in presenting to both internal and external audiencesStrong history of effective partnership within cross-functionalteams Experience with managing third party Occupational Healthproviders and/or vendors that support the clinical operations ofclinics Proven track record of successfully managing medical staffand driving clinical excellence Demonstrated experience in strategydevelopment, execution and delivery of outcomes Adept at navigatingcomplex clinical and business environments Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends anddevelop improvement plans Attention to detail and strongorganizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills, with theability to collaborate effectively with internal and externalstakeholders Proficient in the use of electronic medical records,Gensuite, Excel, Power Point, Word or similar programs Thisposition does not support immigration sponsorship. The range forthis position is $183,872.00 – $252,824.00 assuming full timestatus. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on avariety of job-related factors, including but not limited togeographic location, market demands, experience, training, andeducation.
