Resume Cover Letter General Function The director will have responsibility for personnel supervision, program development, planning scheduling, presenting, coordinating, reporting, and management of each sponsored accredited program. The director will also work with partner agencies and accrediting bodies to determine if program outcomes have been met.

Duties and Responsibilities Characteristics Duties and Responsibilities :

Manages and directs the Emergency Medical Sciences programs which consist of: EMT, AEMT, Leads and guides the implementation of program goals, assessment, and instructional initiatives. Supervises course delivery in accordance with the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Science (OEMS) procedures and standards and the North Carolina Community Colleges Systems (NCCCS). Supervises accreditation process including Education Plan, develops/maintains relationships with Medic, Charlotte Fire Department, Mecklenburg County First Responder Agencies, Charlotte Area Hospitals and regional disaster teams, creates new partnerships, oversees curriculum development, and develops new training opportunities. Trains each instructor on current OEMS commission-approved course outlines and all necessary documentation concerning the instructor’s duties and responsibilities. Manages the supervision and evaluation of professional development plans for full instructors and staff. Manages the recruitment and marketing of programs. Recruits and advises students with assistance from the Program Developer. Provides supervision, direction and oversight for direct reports, and coordinates with non-reports who contribute to program goals. Administers course delivery in accordance with the NC OEMS procedures and standards, gives consideration to advisory guidelines issued by the NC OEMS Commission, and ensures that training offered is safe and effective. Assist Program Developer with scheduling instructors who are certified by the OEMS commission- approved and review course outlines and all necessary documentation concerning the instructor’s duties and responsibilities. Provides each instructor with current OEMS commission approved course outlines and all necessary documentation concerning the instructor’s duties and responsibilities. Arranges for the timely availability of appropriate audiovisual aids and materials, publications, facilities, and equipment for training in all topic areas. Assist with annual budgets and assist in procurement of supplies for the program area. Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications Associates degree or higher in a healthcare discipline, health education, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. Current North Carolina Paramedic certification. Current NCOEMS Level II Paramedic Instructor. Current Instructor certification for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ITLS/PHTLS or ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire date. Current EVOS Instructor or ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire Ten (10) years of full-time EMS field experience, including at least five (5) year of EMS teaching experience. At least one (1) year of experience in EMS leadership, training, or supervision. Familiarity with NC OEMS guidelines and training protocols and the North Carolina Community College System Combined Course Library.
