- Position summary:
- This role will lead the development and management of the business engagement partnership function for the Medical Division.
The individual will partner and collaborate with the respective divisional leadership teams, work closely with commercial digital transformation efforts and SaaS initiatives, and IT service delivery teams to help drive financial goals, customer satisfaction and overall alignment, governance and viability of IT strategy. The position holder will ensure IT investments deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that enhance digital transformation, enable data-driven decision-making, and support the growth of Stryker. Further, this key leadership role will align the divisional requirements with Stryker and IT strategy, achieve outlined targets, and follow operational procedures and maintain accountability for program, financials and SLAs to the business. Specifically drive the business engagements, strategies and capability development in the specified business.
Key responsibilities include:
lead an engaged and effective team, build strong collaborative relationships with division leadership and teams; manage the division IT budget and guide the division in effectively investing in IT to meet strategic objectives by providing knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and prioritizing initiatives; prepare, define, and monitor IT projects to address business needs; and, manage alignment of project deliverables with business requirements throughout the project and delivery life cycle. By integrating divisional and organizational priorities, this leader will play a pivotal role in enabling Stryker’s commercial digital transformation and achieving long-term strategic goals.

- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- : Lead a high performing of business partners and business analysts, to drive strategy and portfolio results, promoting innovation and alignment. Collaborate across IT functions to ensure seamless execution of strategies. Responsible for team leadership, budget and deliverables of IT programs +
- Portfolio & Demand Management
- : Oversee IT project portfolios, aligning initiatives with strategic priorities and resolving conflicts to maintain business vision and strategy integrity.
Responsible for information demand rationalization for the area of responsibility; needs to ensure integrity of business vision and strategy especially when conflicts in priorities occur in geographies from business divisions and geographic, cluster and site alignment. +
- Program Oversight & Governance
- : Sponsor and prioritize IT programs, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines. Support governance standards and IT compliance. Acts as a member/liaison of the information systems governance group within the respective business. +
- Technology Roadmaps & Operations
- : Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive information strategy and IT application roadmap. Develop IT roadmaps to support digital transformation, SaaS growth, and reporting needs. Ensure efficient system performance and compliance with KPIs and SLAs. +
- Metrics & Communication
- : Track and report IT performance metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders to demonstrate progress and value creation. Strategically supports Stryker’s reporting and analytical needs. +
- Domain Expertise & Functional Support
- : Be a domain expert and business consultant. Offer functional support to applications teams and ensure alignment of business needs with IT solutions. +
- Strategic Business Support
- : Challenge and refine business needs, provide analytical insights, and stay informed on industry trends to enhance IT and business alignment. Support core business processes by providing required inputs, information, and tools. Work broadly within the organization.
- Education & special trainings:
- + A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Bioengineering, Quantitative Analytics, or a related field, and 12+ years of relevant experience are required. Equivalent industry experience may substitute for a degree. + Master’s Degree in MIS, MBA, or related disciplines is preferred. + Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, SAFE, or similar are preferred.
- Qualifications & experience:
- + 12+ years of experience in business, IS/IT management, or strategy, with demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives.
+ 8+ years of management experience, including team leadership and budget responsibility. + Proven ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and deliver measurable value. + Strong knowledge of digital transformation technologies, SaaS platforms, and/or enterprise systems. + Experience in regulated environments, including medical devices, life sciences, or pharmaceuticals, is a plus. + Strong understanding of IT governance, architecture, and project management principles. + Demonstrated success in recruiting, engaging, and developing high-performing teams. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
