The Associate Director, US Medical Neuropsychiatry position works in the US Medical organization, contributing to the development and execution of strategic medical plans and launch activities for treatments targeting neuropsychiatric disorders. This position requires the ability to organize and simply communicate complex data and to align others behind a medical strategy across a matrix and partnerships. This individual will set clear and challenging targets that allow skilled and empowered professionals to accomplish business objectives consistent with department/program goals. This position requires objective and effective decision making, and the ability to successfully manage integration points across US functional and commercialization areas to ensure alignment. The Associate Director will report to the Senior Director, US Medical Neuropsychiatry.

Responsibilities:

Participate in Medical Matrix Team activities and meetings, contributing to the development, planning, and execution of the Medical Plan aligned with disease area and product strategies. Effectively partner with stakeholders on medical activities including labeling, safety surveillance, scientific advisory boards, congress support, competitive intelligence, real-world data generation, and publications. Represent Medical Strategy in cross-functional matrix teams, contributing to the Brand planning process and collaborating with marketing, sales, value and access, legal, regulatory, and development teams. Support Thought Leader identification, mapping, and profiling in an evolving environment with changing needs. Engage with high-impact external thought leaders in neuropsychiatry to identify and translate key insights. Establish and maintain interactions with external medical and scientific experts, clinical researchers, and academic centers to assess unmet medical needs and develop appropriate medical strategies. Maintain working knowledge of the treatment landscape, including competitors’ plans, and translate insights into action. Coordinate with Marketing and other matrix partners to communicate results from clinical trials, treatment guidelines, and other clinical data internally. Act as a core member of the brand team, collaborating with key stakeholders to craft plans that address market needs. Collaborate with Commercialization & Access organizations to integrate medical perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure alignment between commercial and medical plans. Serve as an internal disease expert, providing critical input into the development of effective communication tools and programs. Performs other responsibilities as assigned by leadership. Completes all assigned SOPs and training within designated timeframe and adheres to job-specific SOPs and work instructions. Conducts business in accordance with BMS Values.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree (PhD, MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD etc.) in a scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5+ years of direct professional experience in pharmaceutical development within life sciences or biopharmaceuticals. Strong understanding of the biopharma drug development and commercialization process. Experience in clinical research and development, or medical affairs in Psychiatry/Neurology is preferred The starting compensation for this job is a range from $155,540 – $188,500, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
