Job Description
Role Summary
The Associate Director (AD), Medical Omnichannel, is a key position within Medical Modernization in the Value & Implementation (V&I) Medical Affairs team, reporting directly to the Global Director of Medical Omnichannel. This role is essential in assisting the Medical Affairs Omnichannel function to define and execute the Medical Omnichannel Strategy, Roadmap, and Orchestration Plan in a highly regulated medical space, while coordinating execution and pull through across regions and markets with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities
Strategic Development:
Collaborate with the Director of Medical Omnichannel and cross-functional teams to stand up new digital medical channels and drive the development and orchestration of owned and paid channels within Medical Affairs omnichannel capabilities.
Data and Metrics:
Assist in the evaluation and selection of data, tech, channels, metrics, and vendor management to optimize the omnichannel strategy and pull through.
Partnership and Leadership:
Lead and partner with global, regional, cluster, and country teams, including therapeutic area stakeholders, content, and other key partners to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
Process Development:
Advocate for and facilitate the establishment of omnichannel processes and ways of working, capabilities, frameworks, and methodologies with key stakeholders and end users.
User Experience Optimization:
Develop use cases, journeys and orchestration strategies to enhance the engagement experience of Scientific Leaders (SLs) across various owned and paid channels, as well as the experience of working with legal,pliance and privacy approvals.
Experience Design and Training:
Work across teams to design SL experiences and provide change management expertise and training coordination as necessary.
Implementation Support:
Lead and support the execution of prioritized use cases, channels, and tactics on the evolution of omnichannel maturity, particularly focusing on owned channels like digital channels in Veeva CRM and medical portal or sites.
Market Awareness:
Stay informed on emerging medical channels, ecosystems, and trends through stakeholder feedback and market research, including insights from healthcare and industry developments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster effective collaboration across functions such as therapeutic area teams, medical content, IT, medical operations, medical information, data science teams, etc. to address medical care gaps andplex business challenges.
Influential Leadership:
Demonstrate the ability to influence and drive initiatives without direct authority in a highly matrixed environment.
Business Acumen:
Exhibit strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
Technology Savvy:
Possess a solid understanding of technology used, effectively bridging the gap between business needs and Information Technology (IT). Experience with Veeva Link, Veeva CRM systems and medical portals is preferred.
Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years’ relevant leadership experience in Integrated Multichannel and/or Omnichannel Pharma Digital Channels.
Experience with content or modular content/adaptation and orchestration for relevant personas and channels.
High emotional intelligence and leadership skills.
Excellentmunication (verbal & written), presentation, and collaboration skills.
Excellent project management and entrepreneurial skills.
Experience working with global, regions and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
