Job Description Sun River Health provides the highest quality ofcomprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health servicesto all who see it, regardless of insurance status and ability topay, especially for the underserved and vulnerable. Sun RiverHealth is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center servingcommunities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster,Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health iscurrently seeking full-time Site Medical Director to join our teamsupporting our Monticello site. Diagnosis and treatment of patientsin his/her specialty area; collaboration and supervision of nursepractitioners and physician’s assistants; participation in planningand developing health care services in his/her specialties,treatment of conditions and illnesses within the scope of thephysician’s specialty, referral and follow-up of patients whenindicated, participation in after hours coverage to insure 24-houravailability of care for Center patients. Site Medical Director:
Takeshistories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatmentand medication for conditions falling in the scope of his /herspecialty following evidence based standard of care. Provides offhours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients wherecontractually obligated to do so. Designs and participates inquality improvement activities, including Medical Record PeerReview, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, andfocused reviews. Provides supervision for clinical activities ofMedical providers and medical documentation in his/her department,including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage,follow-up procedures. Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRHpatients outside the Health Center. Sets standards for preventivecare and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty;participates in the development of programs to carry out thesestandards. Maintains legible and appropriate documentation ofmedical records. Participates and attends provider meetingsProvides safe and successful performance, including meetingproductivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards.
MinimumEducation Requirement:
Doctorate Degree (including MD, DO, DD, PhD,etc.)
Minimum Licensure:
Board Certification, Physician License,and CPR/BLS Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of diagnosticand treatment procedures that nurse practitioners are trained to doand are necessary for practicing in health care centers.
- Competence in delivery of health care to patients (includingpreventative health education)
- Ability to collaborate with othermembers of the Health Center in order to maintain high qualitystandards and achieve client satisfaction.
- Bilingual in bothEnglish and Spanish (orally and written) is preferred Sun RiverHealth is a network of over 40 Federally Qualified Health Centers(FQHCs) providing primary, dental, pediatric, OB-GYN, andbehavioral health care to over 245,000 patients annually.

Annualized Salary Range:
$237,182.40
