Job Description
St. Lukes University Health Network is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician leader to serve as Campus Chief of Emergency Medicine Services at our Monroe campus in Stroudsburg, PA. This role is responsible for the clinical leadership, quality assurance, and operational oversight of the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives within the ED. Foster a positive, progressive, and collaborative environment among emergency medicine physicians, APPs, nursing leadership, and hospital administration. Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality emergency medicine providers. Promote a culture of service excellence and patient satisfaction, with a focus on achieving top-decile performance. Collaborate with EMS agencies to strengthen pre-hospital care relationships and protocols. Provide clinical oversight, peer review, and mentorship to ED staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to support departmental growth and efficiency. Engage in clinical education and support ongoing learning opportunities for staff and trainees. Ensure compliance with hospital, network, and accrediting body policies and standards.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, with prior leadership or administrative experience preferred. Demonstrated success in quality improvement, team leadership, and patient satisfaction initiatives. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
