The Associate Medical Director (AMD) is an integral member ofthe Clinical Leadership team and maintains oversight for clinicalcare, professional development and practice administration. Withthe objectives of improving patient care & quality, facilitatingpractice communications and partnering with internal teams toimprove our ability to recruit, train & develop providers, thisrole is critical to achieving our key objectives around talentdevelopment and practice advancement. The role of an AMD is tocreate both a learning and working environment that promoteslifelong learning, professionalism and outstanding clinicalquality. The AMD may be asked to travel on occasion, present atconferences or business development calls and participate in andchampion clinical initiatives or Quality Assurance / QualityImprovement projects. The AMD will work collaboratively with theMedical Director to provide stewardship of the practice. The rolesand responsibilities of this role will include, but are not to belimited to the following: 1.

Leadership:

The AMD will coach andmentor clinicians within the practice, promoting a safe learningand practice environment. The AMD will proactively manageindividual performance and ensure standards for performance aremet, taking appropriate corrective action when necessary incollaboration with the Medical Director and Talent & Organization(TAO) partners. The AMD will conduct regular meetings with staff toprovide performance feedback and ensure engagement with thepractice. The AMD will help drive practice management efforts andoperational enhancements to support clinician excellence,productivity, and quality of care. The AMD will be a strategicleader and partner across the organization to help drive forwardvarious operational and strategic initiatives. 2.

Communication:

The AMD will facilitate communication between the Clinical andOrganizational leadership teams and the clinicians within thepractice. Equally critical as relaying information from theleadership teams to the practice members is providing a mechanismfor feedback and escalations from our clinicians to our leaders.

The AMD will serve as the “voice of the practice” and provideconsistent, timely and actionable communication regarding allaspects of the clinical practice. The AMD, in collaboration withVPC leadership, will organize and create content for practicehuddles and meetings. 3. Clinical Quality (QA/QI)•Incollaboration with the Clinical Quality Team, the AMD contributesto annual and ongoing QA/QI Committee work. Leveraging feedbackfrom the practice as well as member satisfaction scores, the AMDsuggests quality enhancements to the Clinical Quality Team onpatient/provider applications and provides feedback to assignedstaff clinicians to promote safety and adherence to treatmentguidelines. 4. Clinical Care•The AMD will dedicate at least 10%of time to clinical care of patients on the platform and providecare for their patients enrolled in the Care and Case Management(CCM) program; in the course of clinical duties, the AMD willdisplay exemplary levels of professionalism and clinical quality inall dealings with patients, and will maintain and complete chartingand documentation in a timely manner. 5. NP Supervision•The AMDbe the clinical supervisor of record for a dedicated group of NursePractitioners and will provide clinical supervision in accordancewith State and internal NP Supervision Program guidelines. The AMDwill assist in leading our NP clinical supervision program,providing guidance and mentorship to our NP clinical supervisors.6. Peer Review•The AMD will assist with overseeing the PeerReview process and will also perform assigned Peer Reviews monthly.

The AMD will also provide necessary feedback to clinicians based ontheir Peer Review results. 7. Business Development•Occasionally,the AMD will be asked to participate in demonstrations of IncludedHealth applications to support Go-To-Market teams. In doing so, theAMD will serve as an ambassador on behalf of our clinicians and ourproducts, demonstrating our dedication to clinical excellence,patient care and member experience. 8.

Strategic Projects:

The AMDmay be asked to take on various strategic projects to help improvethe care of Included Health members, such as developing strategyand operations to support value based care. 9. Other AdministrativeTasks•The AMD will perform other administrative duties andprojects on an as needed basis. The AMD may have periodic businesstravel to support business needs. Successful AMD Candidates willdemonstrate the following skills and attributes: Be a relationshipbuilder with the flexibility and finesse to “manage by influence”Have the ability to make decisions in a changing environment andanticipate future needs Able to receive input from the clinicalteam, make informed decisions in a timely manner, quickly buildbuy-in, and act on the decisions made. Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills Quality technical skills and a high level ofproficiency with Google Suite and other applications Ability toperform multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

MD orDO with active board certification in Internal Medicine or FamilyMedicine Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience,ideally in a primary care setting At least 2 years of experiencedelivering patient care via a virtual care platform Minimum of 2years of management or leadership experience in a healthcaresetting, preferably within a virtual care organization

Extensive experience practicing in and leadingvalue-based care models The United States new hire base salarytarget ranges for this full-time position are: $188,270•291,820bonus equity benefits Starting base salary for you will depend onseveral job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which mayinclude education; training; skills; years and depth of experience;certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity;organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic andmarket data.
