Due to current growth, we are recruiting for a Regional MedicalDirector – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) tosupport the buildup of our practice in order to offer even morepersonalized care to the patients we serve. The position of PM&R Regional Medical Director willconceptualize how the practice will scale, and the preferredcandidate will be entrepreneurial minded in order to perform theadministrative functions of the role. As Regional Medical Director- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), you will be partof an exciting new model of care combining good old-fashionedbedside manner with utilizing innovative technologies todramatically improve patients’ lives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, andaccountability of developing and implementing our PM&R program,policies, and procedures according to federal, state and localregulations; and current practice of post-acute and long-term caremedicine. Coordinate medical care, including emergency treatment procedures,maintain effective liaison with attending physicians, and implementmethods to keep the quality of care under constantsurveillance. Provide necessary physician services for those residents within theskilled nursing facilities and/or clinic environment
Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O. required – Physiatrist strongly preferred PM&R certification (ABPMR) required MD or DO license 5+ years of experience working with geriatric or long-term carepopulation preferred Demonstrated experience working with and educating
NP’s Preferred Qualifications:
Health care management/leadership experience Familiarity with CMS, Medicare Advantage, SNP Rules andRegulations Inpatient/SNF utilization metrics and bed day management State specific collaborative practice agreements and midlevelpractitioner licensing Knowledge of EMR
