Program Director The Owls Nest 2528 West Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501

Job Responsibilities:

Supervises and supports the work of the operations (BHT) staff. Meets with clinical team to discuss each patient admitted and treatment being provided; and coordinates each client’s admission into the clinic through different modalities of treatment, and, if applicable, to their chosen housing. Ensures BHT staff completes required documentation, including service reports and administrative paperwork thoroughly and in a timely manner. Ensures that daytime and evening services are delivered in a manner that is consistent with facility policies and procedures, applicable laws, contracts, professional standards, and community expectations. Keeps the Clinical Director informed of patient care/counseling problems and issues. Ensures the clinic is adequately staffed with BHTs during working hours. Meets with the Clinical Director at least weekly to discuss coordination of care for patients. Provides emergency coverage for the BHT team as needed. Collaborates with the Executive Director, Safety Officer, and Clinical Director monthly to discuss performance improvement findings, problems, and program issues. Develops and implements action plans as needed to correct problems or issues defined. Assists in periodic review and revision of policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Attends treatment team meetings as scheduled. Complies with required hours in accordance with contract agreement. Provides guidance and leadership for performance guidelines Adheres to facility policies and procedures and ensures these are followed. Abides by all safety/risk, infection control and other guidelines as required. Assists in ensuring state and federal regulations, as well as JCAHO standards, are met and maintained. Provides reports for, and participate in, senior staff meetings on the operation of the clinic with particular emphasis on staffing, patient issues, activity levels against action plans, and report on actions and decisions which may affect the treatment environment and organization. Supports the maintenance teams and Safety Officer where maintenance issues and patient interventions overlap. Ensures the quality of the treatment environment at the clinic, including food, transportation, health and safety and general cleanliness. Contributes to the development of the knowledge and continuing professional development of others. Under the direction of the Executive Director, SLC will take responsibility for the daily operations of the clinic, and ensure that the clinic is a safe and efficiently run environment in which the clinical and medical teams can work. In the absence of any Behavioral Health Technicians, the SLC will assume their daily responsibilities. The outpatient services at The Owl’s Nest are provided by a team of professionals, including the Clinical Director, therapists, case managers, and Behavioral Health Technicians, as well as other staff members. The SLC supports all staff to help ensure that services are delivered in a manner that is consistent with policies and procedures, applicable laws, contracts, professional standards, and community expectations. The SLC should develop and maintain interpersonal relationships by maintaining open communication lines with facility staff, attending clinicians and physicians, and patients and families. The SLC will often serve as a liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payors of health services. Candidates for this job should have a some leadership/managerial experience. A minimum of two years serving in operations in a partial hospitalization or outpatient setting is preferred.

$45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
