This physician must be able to provide guidance to medical staff if needed. Supervise Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (physician extender) remotely. Meet with physician extender monthly to review medical charts and conditions. Take on-call whenever physician extender is not available. Board knowledge of child health and development and understanding of laws and code governing health programs. Minimum and Additional Requirements Valid SC Medical Licensed to practice in SC, DO or MD. Preferred Qualifications Valid SC Medical Licensed to practice in SC, DO or MD. Experience in the delivery of emergency medical services to pediatric patients. Additional Comments Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, regulations and program services. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and orally. Knowledge of the techniques and practices of the medical field. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Knowledge of health standards and hazards; safety practices and procedures; stages of child development; and pediatric and family practices.
