Days | No weekends Overview A top-performing 286-bed acute care hospital in Nashville seeks an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a Level I Trauma Emergency Department. This facility treats up to 190 patients daily, operates 53 ER beds, and has 115 FTEs. The role offers the opportunity to lead in one of Tennessee’s highest-acuity hospitals, with cutting-edge trauma, neuro, cardiac, and vascular care programs. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the Emergency Department including operations, quality, staffing, throughput, and financial performance Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards (Level I Trauma) Develop and oversee department strategy aligned with hospital goals Mentor and manage managers, CNCs, and over 100 staff across three shifts Drive quality, patient safety, employee engagement, and patient satisfaction Optimize department budgets, staffing, and supply use Collaborate closely with the COO and executive leadership Qualifications RN License – current and unencumbered (Compact or Tennessee) Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required Master’s preferred (MSN, MHA, or MBA) 3+ years of recent Director-level acute care ED leadership Must have Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience Strong track record in high-volume ERs (150-190+ daily visits)
