Seeking a Medical Director of Occupational Medicine to join teamin Johnson City, TN. He or she will assist in developing thelong-term strategy and short-term tactics for the growth anddevelopment of the service line and for improvement of the healthof the population we serve via engagement in development ofclinical standards of care. Participate in recruitment and on-boarding of new providers,including performance feedback and coaching as needed to ensurepositive professional development and retention. Lead/support development of quality initiatives and otherprograms to continually improve cost effectiveness and quality ofservices and patient and client satisfaction Support efforts of administrative and marketing personnel tosecure new and maintain existing business as required. Identify newaccounts to meet growth strategies and communicate information tothe BHMA leadership team. Provide consultative services in occupational health, includingprovision of medical director services to client companies and indevelopment of onsite programs that focus on a healthylifestyle. Serve as the designated physician and advanced practiceclinician supervisor for Occupational Medicine clinics, onsiteprograms, and Business Health team members, unless otherwiseprovided by other physicians contracted. Serve as the Medical Review Officer ( MRO ) for the program.
MRO duties include, but are not limited to, receiving and reviewinglaboratory results generated by an employer s drug testing programand evaluation of medical explanations for certain drug testresults; interpreting forensic drug testing results in the contextof a regulatory and policy framework; and assisting companies withmedical monitoring of OSHA Regulated Chemicals, oversight oflaboratory tests to monitor employee exposure limits over a periodof time and making medical evaluations/recommendations to preventcontinued exposure in the workplace. Supervise the medical review process and substance abusetesting programs offered by group throughout Tennessee andVirginia, to include supervision of the Medical Review OfficerAssistant ( MROA ).
